'Navigation' The Easy Way
Saturday 10th November | 11am – 4pm
Any one with an interest in the great outdoors will benefit from this hands on course in the basic understanding in the use of maps and compass. (No magic involved!).
With the morning spent in learning all the tricks of the trade in how to read maps, take bearings, use a compass, take grid references etc. and the afternoon putting this freshly learnt knowledge into practice around the forest it’s all a lot of fun!
Stout footwear is advisable, and there will be a break for lunch (not provided – but may be purchased from the Forest Table Restaurant, or bring your own). Places are limited, pre-booking essential by phoning 01623 823202 or by calling in at the Visitor Centre. £7.50 per person (sorry, not suitable for under 12s).
